Newsbank's America's Historical Newspapers

Newsbank is a database of historical American newspapers. Ranging from 1690-2000, the topics covered sprawl through many historical events.

The website holds primary sources that are organized chronologically by decade and by topic. Articles, Political Cartoons, and anything else found in a newspaper are available.

These sources can be used by your students to add a new layer of depth to their research. Or it can be an additional focal point in your lessons.
